Positive Peers (10-13 year olds)

Run by both a Child Therapist and Occupational Therapist, the focus of this group is to support tweens in navigating the complicated and nuanced social dynamics of entering teenage years. 

Because of the sensitive natures of certain topics and the drastic differences in social expectations between genders at this age and stage, the group will be separated into two separate groups. Each group will have 5 sessions that run for 1.5 hours. Topics will include managing the impacts of technology, kind yet assertive communication, understanding social cues and expectations, and much more!

While their child is in the group session, parents are invited to stay and attend a group parenting session. These sessions will compliment the topics being covered with the children and will include strategies on communication, understanding and managing the impacts of technology on this age group, and supporting children through social struggles.
