Tessellate Child and Family Therapy is looking for a Play Therapist to join our team! Our ideal candidate for this position should have experience working and connecting with children, creating safe environments for children and families, and an understanding of child development and age-appropriate mental health interventions. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to listen to others, make appropriate decisions based on critical thinking, and has excellent communication skills. This person should be passionate about the power of play and its impacts on children and family well-being.
Requirements:
- Minimum education level: Master’s Degree
- Member of the Canadian Association for Play Therapy as well as a Governing Body (i.e., OCSWSSW, CRPO, etc.)
- Completed at least Level 1 of the Canadian Association for Play Therapy's Foundational Training
Responsibilities:
- Assess nature of clients' situations by interviewing and reviewing personal history
- Develop and execute individual treatment plans using play therapy modalities
- Support a caseload of children ranging in age from 3 to 12 years old
- Determine appropriate milestones to gauge client progress
- Communicate client updates to all relevant parties
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and programs
- Maintain accurate client documentation
- Work collaboratively with team members and community partners

Salary: $95.00 to $115.00 per hour
