Peaceful Meal Time

This Occupational Therapist (OT) led group is focused on supporting families to learn strategies and skills for calm and enjoyable meal times together.

Children and, at least one parent, will participate in the first six group sessions to start to introduce the importance of family meal times, identify areas of difficulty, and create routines and tools for success. For the last two sessions, the whole family is invited to attend to simulate a true family meal time and receive direct support while families implement these new ways of being! 

All food will be provided by the clinic!

This group is appropriate for families with children aged 3 to 12. Children should have the capacity to feed themselves. However, that does not preclude families where children are capable of feeding themselves but engage in behaviours to avoid independent eating.
