Child Psychologist

Tessellate Child and Family Therapy is looking for a part-time Child Psychologist to join our team! Our ideal candidate for this position should have experience working and connecting with children, creating safe environments for children and families, and an understanding of child development and child psychology. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to listen to others, make appropriate decisions based on critical thinking and have excellent communication skills. Candidates should have an excellent knowledge base of mental health issues and their presentation in children. The candidate must be able to identify difficulties or neurodivergences in children, document and share these findings, and work with colleagues to create treatment plans.


Requirements:

  • Minimum education level: Master’s Degree
  • Member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario with active license number


Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychological and psycho-educational assessments
  • Write reports describing findings/outcomes of assessments
  • Consult with parents/caregivers to explain findings
  • Consult and work collaboratively with therapists to create individualized treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to ensure client wellness and success


Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working with children and families
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Creativity
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals


Salary: $200.00 - $225.00 per hour
