Riley Noik, BA, MSW, RSW
Riley is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Riley obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in children and their families. Riley has also earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph, where she studied criminal justice and public policy.
Riley is passionate about supporting children, youth and families and prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients. Riley takes a non-judgemental approach to create a warm and supportive environment in which all clients can feel safe and heard.
Riley has extensive experience working with children with complex medical needs and supporting their families. Riley completed her social work placements at OCAD University and at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Riley uses warmth, empathy, compassion and collaboration to support her clients. Riley is particularly passionate about working with teenagers and young adults in exploring their identity, understanding and processing their emotions, and developing the tools they need to face life’s complex challenges. Riley is committed to helping her clients build a sense of empowerment and self-compassion and fostering emotional well-being. Riley can support with relationship challenges, friendships, family dynamics, anxiety, self-esteem and many other difficult experiences. Riley believes no issue is too big or too small to work through together.
In her practice, Riley utilizes a strengths-based approach and draws upon principles from various therapeutic backgrounds such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy. Riley conducts biopsychosocial assessments to help understand her clients in a holistic way and takes a person-centered approach. Riley understands that each client comes with unique experiences, needs and interests. Riley adapts her approach based on each individual and works with her clients to develop customized treatment plans. Riley is committed to providing a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, navigate through challenging experiences, set realistic goals and feel empowered to reach their fullest potential.
